So I have only regained anything i had of a life this week now that fencing season is over :(

We're going to the MoMA tomorrow for a field trip so expect some more decent sketches/photos yayyyy

I used to be really into ascii art when i found a typewriter and when it broke, i used my laptop. it's also fun to do when there is no internet connection and all you have is a word document to play around with. 

here it is

done with watercolor, colored pencil and little bit of ink

i made through to the state competition and my work will be shown at ikea, however i will not be attending. but now i have a shiny postcard with it on it. yaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy

it's raining slushie out here. like, blue and red dyed slushie. gah. Nasty.  i better get started on that homework i've already procrastinated on. you can't procrastinate procrastination, because then..you'd be working.  ... ?

from my personal life today has been a pretty good week. the watercolor i made is on a postcard. A POSTCARD that's advertising the event at least. BUT A POSTCARD. crazzzzzzzzy. other than being totally psyched about fencing this week, i'm swamped in chemistry and prrobably won't upload anything super dupe for a bit. unless i can sneak a picture of what i'm doing in school that is. i think that the start of chinese new year is more optimistic than the 365 day calendar year. maybe it's just my inner asian talking.

anyhoo, Normally I try to get in at least one drawing a day and when I can't think of much to draw I usually do these types of things:

^ Done with highlighters and a couple sharpies

^Reference from lookbook

^Another lookbook model

^Scribble art/ Gesture drawing

^Lately i've been messing around with a yellow/blue color scheme. so far i'm enjoying myself

^This must have been when i was on my colored pencil addiction

^Post it notes at midnight i think

^FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS. me gusta

And that's all i really have for now. I'm running out of old drawings to post, but i should be able to find my other paintings and such. now i  must go listen to dustland fairy tale for the ninety-eth time today

I have a watercolor piece I did recently that made it through to a state competition, so i'll see how that all goes. Probably won't be able to upload a picture of it until a while later though.
